Handy information to read before ordering cloth pads
Absorbency

These pads are made with an inner core of 55% hemp/45% organic cotton french terry fabric for absorbency (unless you prefer 100% cotton, in which case cotton flannelette will be used).  Hemp/organic cotton is an absorbent, durable fabric with antibacterial properties.

I recommend the following numbers of layers for various menstrual uses:
* one layer - liners and light flow
* two layers - light to medium flow, late post-partum use
* three layers - medium to heavy flow, early post-partum use
If you wish to use these pads for mild incontinence, please select the absorbency according to your requirements.

Waterproofing
Noonee Wilga Cloth Pads can be made with a layer of polyester PUL (polyurethane laminate fabric, used in medical applications and for covers in cloth nappying) for waterproofing.  A layer of PUL the entire size of the pad is included when requested and it is attached only around the edges, so there are no holes for leakage in the middle of the pad.  Alternatively, Taslon (water-resistant nylon, more breathable than PUL) or polyester fleece (polar fleece) can also be used for added protection in your pads.

Surface fabric types
Natural fibres are more breathable and cooler on the skin and include cotton, cotton velour, bamboo velour, flannelette, cotton print.  They can stain more easily.

Synthetic fibres can pass moisture through to the backing absorbent layers and thus can give a feeling of dryness. Polar fleece, suedecloth, minkee and microfleece are like this.  They also tend to be more stain resistant.

Fabric combinations
I have an exhaustive (and exhausting!) range of fabric combinations available. Please email me for your choice of colours and combinations.
